284737 2004-10-26 02:06:00 I find Tabs most worthy when im working on a site and have multiple pages and programs open,it keeps the live pages seperate from everything else.

Trying to update my site, view the site, and have windows displaying manufacturers sites was hell.

That is if hell was defined as a mild anoyance that got me uptight,If it was defined as everlasting agony due to being drenched in fire that i supose i wasn't quite at that level...

lmfao.

I must be bored.

284738 2004-10-26 02:36:00 I use Avent Browser. I've tried firefox, and while it is definatly superior to IE, and its extreamly security safe, i just pefer AB. Will Hunt (3655)
284739 2004-10-26 02:45:00 I had AB, but its too .. nah, Mozilla is another level up and way better. But agreed, AB is a step in the right direction. Inoying how IE is build so strongly into Windows ... wish you could replace the whole thing with Mozilla... JamesStewart (874)

284741 2004-10-26 02:49:00 Mozilla FF lets you use IB at BNZ .. use it about 10 times a day. JamesStewart (874)

284743 2004-10-26 02:55:00 I'm using Firefox 1.10.1 PR but am waiting for final release of Firefox before I decide whether to go back to previous 0.9.3 version or just go back to Internet Explorer.

When I first used Firefox, it was 0.9.3 or one just before it. It was small, fast and you were the one who determined how much/ or what you wanted to add to it. It was great and I recommended it to lots of people. But not any more.

I'm now on PR 1.10.1 and its been a big turnoff. Deleted miles of default bookmarks eg. the firefox crew's 15 bookmarks, latest BBC headlines -29 of them, Quicksearch bookmarks which seemed to be doubleups.
Numerous episodes now of "site not found", "no data on page", "timed out".
Its a pity that the good work they put in to improve the browser seems to be making it rather bulky. But they do deserve a pat on the back for what they have achieved.

When I had another few sessions on IE I didn't get the site not found and other problems. Will just have to be more alert to security.

It's not the browser as such giving you that grief Marg, it's the lousy (proprietary) coding on the websites, some intentionally done so that only one browser will work correctly. Drop them a polite line to let them know that they and their webites stink. The more people that do this the better ;)

What you do with your unwanted bookmarks is: Right click > delete. Problem solved :) Personally had no issues with 1.0pr

Mozilla FF then Mozilla for me.

Perhaps thats your problem Metla. You visited the Xtra homepage and it pushed you off the edge mentally. You're an idiot

Your opinion matters.

Honestly it does, about as much as all the other misguided uninformed people with no idea what they are talking about.

Keep it up.
