285671 2004-10-28 19:37:00 Just received the Microsoft NZ Partners Newsletter in my inbox and there is a part that says

OEM Cash Rebates

Purchase Microsoft OEM software, and your business can benefit by receiving cash back from Microsoft! ( . microsoft . com/oem/default . mspx" target="_blank">www . microsoft . com)
If, between October 4th and December 31st 2004, you purchase 100 or more OEM Windows XP, OR, 70 or more OEM Office 2003 units, OR, 5 or more Windows Server 2003 units from an Authorised Microsoft OEM Distributor, you will receive cash back! This program is designed to reward loyal System Builders, like yourselves, for your purchases of Genuine Microsoft software .

For more information, please visit the Microsoft OEM System Builder Web Site (MOSB): . microsoft . com/oem" target="_blank">www . microsoft . com or contact your preferred OEM Distributor .

So can someone explain the 'catch'? It sounds too good of Microsoft to be true? And no . . . . I'm not a partner or anything, just get their newsletters for some odd reason . . . .

Cheers,

285672 2004-10-28 19:53:00 There is no catch other than the OEM System builder having to buy the amount stated of the software.

Microsoft do these things quite often for OEM System Builders.
