286390 2004-10-31 00:55:00 Hey,

Can someone explain to me what the point of the Wireless Nodes are at www.nodedb.com? Are these people who have access points and boosters who want to bridge connections into one big WLAN? Or what?

Sounds interesting to me.

286391 2004-10-31 01:07:00 You've pretty much got the idea. Not all of them are live nodes though - some of them are people who are interested, but haven't yet got any gear because there is nobody close by to connect to. segfault (655)
286392 2004-10-31 01:19:00 are there many/if any in nz?, what are the distances between them? Prescott (11)

If you want to be that broad, the "Whole Net" is just really file sharing.

The nodes/clusters are mini nets, with backbone hookup's.
