286982 2004-11-02 04:17:00 Yes and no.

Its not very powerful but should make up for this with battery life and weight,You dont mention how much ram it has or what optical drive.

40gb for me would not nearly be enough but everyone has different needs,The video chipset is no better then the non-nivida intergrated chipsets,so adds no value.

And while that screen res seems all nice and dandy good like running Windows at that setting, everything will be tiny, and if you lower the res things will get blocky....

Does it suit your purposes?,budget?,quite happy ringing a help line to Malaysia and speaking to someone for whom english is a second language when you find you cant connect to the internet?.....

286985 2004-11-02 04:57:00 A Pentium M 1.60 GHz is a fairly fast CPU. It easily keeps up to speed with a standard P4 2.4 GHz, and features twice the cache, 2Mb as opposed to 1Mb.

I have a similarly spec laptop with a 1400x1050 display. Downsizing to lower resolutions such as 1024x768 cause very little if any "blockyness"

At the standard res of 1400x1050, things do get a bit small, but everything is so sharp and crisp it really is very easy to read.

Here's a few screenshots to compare 1400x1050 Vs 1024x768
