287301 2004-11-03 03:27:00 If you still cannot get it to maximise after trying all the suggestions here I would recommend getting the artillery out and giving your computer the works for viruses, trojans, etc. See the forum's Spyware FAQ - link to FAQs top right of this page. Susan B (19)
287302 2004-11-03 03:44:00 Thanks for the suggestion. Had our hardware guy in yesterday and he ran 5 different anti-virus and spyware utilities. Couldn't find anything, but ..........

Does anyone know if there is a setting in the registry or elsewhere that could cause this issue????

287304 2004-11-03 04:38:00 That was definitely the article. I can't remember if I tried it or not. Probably not.

I can't make any of the tips work.

A small amount of frustration is starting to show itself!

Thanks again.

It might be worth giving HijackThis a run to see if there is anything hidden running that the others don't pick up. I have been locked out of Task Manager in the past despite running all the tools and only HJT got me back in again. You need to look very carefully at the results because the one that I encountered looked very benign. Can't remember what it was now though.

287308 2004-11-05 03:21:00 No joy again.

Tried the XP emergency utility kit. Created the copy just fine but the copy acts in exactly the same way as the original!

I'm stumped.
