| 287302 | 2004-11-03 03:44:00 | Thanks for the suggestion. Had our hardware guy in yesterday and he ran 5 different anti-virus and spyware utilities. Couldn't find anything, but .......... Does anyone know if there is a setting in the registry or elsewhere that could cause this issue???? |

It might be worth giving HijackThis a run to see if there is anything hidden running that the others don't pick up. I have been locked out of Task Manager in the past despite running all the tools and only HJT got me back in again. You need to look very carefully at the results because the one that I encountered looked very benign. Can't remember what it was now though. |

| 287308 | 2004-11-05 03:21:00 | No joy again. Tried the XP emergency utility kit. Created the copy just fine but the copy acts in exactly the same way as the original! I'm stumped. |
