| 287650 | 2004-11-03 22:12:00 | How can I open a photo that arrives in an email, as a little box with a diagonal red cross in it. I've had several of these recently, and it's driving me nuts! |

I'd check your OE security settings first off. As a security precaution, if your going to rlax your email clients security it's best not to have preview enabled in your view/layout settings and make sure emails are scanned by an upto-date anti-virus programme. | 287654 | 2004-11-04 04:06:00 | Are you sure the person actually sent you the pitcures, a lot of idiots just forward emails around and stuff things up. My bet is the HTML behind the email says there is a pitcure to go here, but the email did not contain the photo to put there, resulting with a red X |

| 287656 | 2004-11-04 22:29:00 | I'm sure the person who sent it included the photo's, as I got them I forwarded them on to another friend, who received the text part but no photo. He sent back a different set of photo's which I did not receive, but I did get the accompanying text |

| 287659 | 2004-11-05 23:17:00 | What version of OE is it? Try this anyway: Go to the Tools menu > Options > Security and uncheck Block images....... Somewhere in there, possibly in the View settings there will be a check box to view images inline or words to that effect, you don't want this, if there is an option fro images to be downloaded attachments that's what you want. Sorry if that's all a bit vague, but I no longer use OE in preference for Mozilla Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.org/) Cheers Murray P |
