287839 2004-11-04 10:40:00 Interesting,i have had to remove that 180 solutions crap off a few comps manually in the last week,Hate it when that happens..... metla (154)
287840 2004-11-04 11:23:00 hmm...just gave spysweeper a crank.

Its lacking in any sort of tools (at least in the quick skim i done) such as Spybot has,or advanced configuration such as adaware has,It took far far to long to do a scan and found 2 cookies in IE cache,On top of that it wanted to run continuisly in the background and asked me for money......

lmao............GONE.

If you'd read right thru the threads you will have seen I did mention one has to buy it.
I'm not sure about the trial, but full version alerts user to any new entries attaching themselves to startup & msconfig & won't allow them to run until user has given permission that is why it runs in the background. Pushing a button turns that feature off if you wish.
Also alerts if homepage is being changed
Can lock hosts file etc (as others do)
I use it as one of 7 tools to clean systems & it always finds entries spybot & others miss or disregard as unimportant
And it is updated every couple of days (unlike others)

287844 2004-11-04 17:36:00 I see GIANT AS does quite well, someone told me to try it, think I will now. 45South (4769)
287845 2005-03-15 15:24:00 I have used spybouncer and know many people that have and spybouncer is one of the best. I use Giant and spybouncer and they both clean my pc of everything. spywarewarrior can make mistakes and I think they have an unfair review. You also have to keep in mind that competotors will post bad comments to shut down the competition. They also have a great review by a very popular radio show on their front page. Bottom line is you can't believe everything you read. try it for yourself ans top reading the crap from competitors. Jerry2005 (6367)
287846 2005-03-15 20:21:00 Jerry, get rid of it and warn your friends. This from the Rogue Spyware List (www.spywarewarrior.com): "aggressive advertising (1 (spywarewarrior.com)); reported hijacks (1 (www.dslreports.com), 2 (forums.spywareinfo.com)); false positives work as goad to purchase (1 (spywarewarrior.com)) [A: 6-26-04 / U: 9-18-04]"

It looks good because it finds stuff that isn't there, it's a liar and a fraud and could quiet possibly infect your PC with malware rather than cleaning it.

Reviews can be and are bought, google advertises malware. Don't believe everything you read.

Don't rely on MS antispyware exclusively, it does not scan for everything and has built in limitations on scanning 3rd party software, it doesn't.
