| 288554 | 2004-11-06 10:08:00 | Way back last century I entered Sand Fly country and freedom walked the Milford Track. For three months prior to the walk I took some sort of 'vitamin' which stopped the Sand Flies from biting me. It worked well, no bites. As I hope to re-enact the walk, can anyone sensibly suggest what pills I may have taken? I don't want to mess around with 'Dimp' or any other messy chemicals. TIA. P. |

My wife is totally immune while I am a walking smorgasaboard. She doesn't do marmite or vitamin b. I use citronella oil the real stuff from the chemist smell like lemons, not sticky and works good. |

If a kamikaze mozzie does manage to embed its dining equipment in you I can guarantee that a dab of Soov applied immediately after the feast will prevent that maddening self-mutilating itch that lasts for days afterwards due to the anaesthetic and antiseptic ingredients . Well worth the $13 or so price for a tube . Have a great walk . :-) |

A slow-release 40% formulation is the best choice . I tried Vitamin B years ago and it seemed to work . The downside is that you had to start taking it at least 2 weeks before needing it . Good luck . |
