288068 2004-11-05 03:19:00 What happens if you remove the hard disk? Graham L (2)
288069 2004-11-05 03:23:00 ive found "format c" to be particulary useful in situations such as yours Pete O'Neil (250)
288070 2004-11-05 03:27:00 You "rebooted" after setting the passwords. Try POWER OFF and restart. :D A real cold start might help. Might not, of course. :D Graham L (2)

That'd be great if I had access to Floppy, or CDROM but I don't till I have a password.

I might have to buy another drive as suggested somewhere I read.
But surely that won't work as the Hard Drive password is set in the BIOS & wouldn't matter what drive I had in it

288072 2004-11-05 03:48:00 Do you reckon hooking it up to another machine as slave & formatting will remove the password 45South (4769)
288073 2004-11-05 03:49:00 Nope Rob99 (151)

Still waiting....
But in the meantime SUCCESS!!
One of the family members remembered helping him type in a pwd on one of his bad days & voila I'm in.
Thanks to all.
