| 289057 | 2004-11-07 09:37:00 | Hi, my DVD player has an annoying problem where it can play DVDs fine (freezes sometimes but only for 30 secs or so), but cannot play and CD disc. Ie, DVD, DVD-ROM will play but CD, CD-ROM, VCD etc won't. My guess is some part of the CD reading circuitry / optics has gone. It's out of warranty. Can I fix it. I have it running with the case off but can't see anything unusual. It's a Mustec with no apparent model number. But the model of the PCB is: Mustec CT908 Signal Board, V56X (5.1CH) Cheers George |

| 289059 | 2004-11-08 09:15:00 | Can you fix it? Don't know, but do you have a few hundred thousand dollars of laser alignment kit? And a replacement laser? If so, the answer is "possibly", but logic says "No" |
