289597 2004-11-09 00:06:00 Err my account was on 256k Flat but clocked down to 64k cause I went over the cap, however it reset and went to 2mbit around 2am this morning. ( Yes i was online :/ )

Anyway since then errr every site I go to, when I try download a file. It starts downloading to an auto location, like doesn't even ask me where to download to and just after about 2 seconds gives me an error.

"internet explorer was not able to open the internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later"

Any site I go to if i try download a file it gives me this error. I"m with xtra if it's of any use ~

I took a screenshot -> www.meiladsworld.orcon.net.nz

Does anyone have any idea on wtf is causing this?

289600 2004-11-09 00:14:00 Yes. There is an issue with some of the RAN's in which people are able to authenticate but some traffic is not passing through. Telecom is investigating and has an eta of an hour and a half according to the Outage report which came past me. Call your ISP for more info.

This is possibly what is effecting you

289601 2004-11-09 00:15:00 It isn't actually downloading yet, it is trying to find out file information so it knows where to download it from, and whether it is available from the server. It appears that it is unable to reach the server to even begin to try and download at all.

What happens if you restart your router/modem? Does that help at all?

289604 2004-11-09 04:39:00 1) Can you try downloading from a different site... perhaps a mirror from sourceforge.

2) Can you stop using IE6 and try an alternative browser and see if it has the same problem.

289605 2004-11-09 05:06:00 It's not the website, downloads from all websites fail.

In Opera browser downloads work fine. It's IE6 based problem ~
