289778 2004-11-09 11:56:00 At this moment,I'm really missing my extensions and browser skin.

And this time i had figured to wait untill new versions were out before i upgraded the browser....

289779 2004-11-09 17:18:00 I'm on Firefox v1 . 0 RC1 and can't use Noia, so downloaded SphereGnome instead . Apart from Adblock, the extensions I want are not availabe for this version so I'm waiting for a while as well .

I often visit the Firefox discussions site and from what I gather there are still quite a few bugs to iron out . Am getting pretty weary of all the updates my programs have been having lately . Still haven't got to SP2 yet as the thought of crashing my computer would be the final straw at the moment .

When doing my AVG update, I went into Info tab > computer tab . Had no other programs running, and my 512MB ram of free memory [495MB because of graphics memory] now had only 239MB free memory remaining .

I am now using Firefox and on PF1, and when I go back into AVG to check again, it shows 117MB free memory remaining .

So much for increasing my Ram . God knows how people with less Ram are coping .

289782 2004-11-09 19:35:00 To those using Noia Extreme for Firefox 1.0

Went to Kasteo [designer of Noia Extreme] at Deviant Art and he had the following comment written there:

quote: I will try to update the current Noia for Firefox and fix several bugs in this upcoming weekend. I'm very busy with my new job at the moment... sorry about the delay. Dated 9 Nov 2004 ...end quote.

So keep on the lookout for his updated version.

289783 2004-11-09 19:40:00 Forgive me if I am making a fool of myself. But Firefox 1 is on the PC World CD this month.. Or are you talking about something different?

289784 2004-11-09 19:48:00 Hi jack, that was Firefox 1 . 0 PRC (preview release candidate) . This one is plain old "1 . 0", not a release canditate or a beta but the final version of the new software for public consumption .

They thank you for testing their software ;)

289787 2004-11-09 20:11:00 Metla,

Me too . I downloaded it last night before went to bed . I miss the skins and some extensions . Hope it won't be long until someone fixes those extensions .

By the way, Firefox looks pretty much the same as previous versions, so to those who don't wish to make the jump up, just do it!
