| 289791 | 2004-11-09 14:16:00 | Does anyone know how you stop Word and Excel from turning any webpage or email you type into a hyperlink? Actually I don't mind if they are hyperlinks or not, I just don't want them to change format (ie to blue and underlines). I wan't them to just stay with the same style as the rest of the text. Any ideas. Peter |

The AutoCorrect dialog box will open . Select the AutoFormat as You Type Tab . In the Replace as You Type frame, deselect Internet and Network Paths with Hyperlinks . Click on OK . hth |

| 289797 | 2004-11-10 06:10:00 | OK these solutions worked for Word but it is not one of the options in Excel (Excel 2000 as least). Excel only has the one 'AutoCorrect' tab under tools/AutoCorrect. Still looking for how to turn them off permanently in Excel - although the right click/hyperlink/remove hyperlink does work is Excel for a once off. Peter |
