| 289577 | 2004-11-08 23:47:00 | I have been reading up on the latest posts in relation to Stu120404. I have got a lot of good advice from press F1 over time and I find it quite disconcerting all the personal attacks made against certain press F1'ers. I am not perfect and at a guess..no one on this forum is perfect......:D I would like Stu120404 to stay with F1..........he, along with countless others in this forum has given advice on alot of issues that is no doubt priceless to some and absolutely worthless to others, the point is....take the info that you need and discard the rest.....the personal attacks achieve nothing but resentment and disrespect to others............I am 44 and not exactly up with all the play these days and press F1 is absolutely vital to me and on numerous occasions has saved me alot of money, time and aggravation to boot. I thank those that help and even those who's response might not be what I wanted, but their opinion is extremely important to me as is all the others advice. We are not the same as each other or this would be a really boreing place, we need to celebrate our differences and get along the best we can. I personally would like Stu120404 to please stay with this forum......the positives far outweigh the negatives. This is my 20 cents worth and I hope others would like to add their 20 cents worth also. Press F1 is priceless and its contributers the same, I hope that Stu will reconsider and stay with F1. gary:D |

| 289579 | 2004-11-09 00:12:00 | In my 2 yrs (almost) which I have been on PressF1, I have seen it go from a brilliant support forum, with people all ages contributing in a positive manner to anyone's questions and requests for help, to where it is today - abuse in every 2nd thread, people making stupid comments, flame wars starting very easily. It is now not such a good place to be. A huge number of good people have left because they have gotten sick and tired of what is happening here. A number of people who have offered great advice in the past are now avoiding the forum, posting only occasionally in the very few threads where there are requests for help which hasn't turned into a flame war. It seems that even the Moderators are getting sick of this forum, and sick of dealing with the few idiots who keep coming back and causing havoc. All I can say is Stu, don't go. You have been a huge contributor to the PressF1 community. Don't let these people get up your skin too much, as there are plenty of people genuinely grateful for your help. |

| 289581 | 2004-11-09 01:46:00 | I wonder how many more people are going to leave PF1 because of juvenile intolerance. I've looked through some really old threads and found quite a few MIAs'. Pretty sad that some self serving blockheads are able to drive people away. Reminds me of the bullies in the playground who wouldn't let smaller kids use the water fountain. They used to hide behind their gang while some people here hide behind their anonymity. | POTUS (5276) | ||
| 289582 | 2004-11-09 01:53:00 | People come and go in any forum, pick any forum at random and you will see the population is 90 percent transient. And i would be interested to know if petty intolerence is the same as elitist intolerence,Not to mention those that fancy themselves social engineers or self apointed moderators...... |

Point taken, but in this forum there appears to be a pack mentality which is bringing the forum down. > And i would be interested to know if petty intolerence is the same as elitist intolerence,Not to mention those that fancy themselves social engineers or self apointed moderators...... A forum for grown-ups shouldn't need moderators. Surely we could all govern ourselves? But the fact is that a small group of people seem to be adversely affecting this community in a way that they wouldn't have the guts to do in the real world. |

Honestly? |
