| 289440 | 2004-11-08 10:45:00 | From what I've read the average user won't notice the difference & it greatly depends on what brand you buy Some drives with 2MB outperform those with 8Mb But hey for only $10 PC World did an interesting comparison a couple of months back if you have any old issues |

| 289443 | 2004-11-08 10:46:00 | Nope,No faster in the real world,and nioeffect on future proofing. But even if the advantage of the larger buffer is only really apperent on paper or while running a bench you might as well spend the extra $10 and buy the better drive. |

I have a scsi tape, and a couple of scsi drives, If i can get a regulator, it will make a play, gateway, file server, and backup unit. put 2 x 1G 133 cpus and some rambus. Toy. D. |
