1373894 2014-05-01 00:48:00 Hi all,

Got a client who had her Galaxy tablet stolen - she has a new one and wants to install some tracking/remote wiping software now. There are so many options out there - can anyone recommend somthing good?

Thanks.

1373895 2014-05-01 00:56:00 Don't Android devices have something similar to Find my iPhone that they have on the Apple devices?

The other option is the free Meraki MDM: account.meraki.com
This has tons of mobile device management features all for free! :D
You don't need any of their wifi gear to make it work.

1373898 2014-05-01 02:00:00 Yeah they updated it a while back as part of a Play Store update so anything Android-2.3 Gingerbread and above has it basically now :) Just be sure to actually go in to the "Google Settings" app, then Android Device manager, and make sure both options are ticked. When you tick "Allow remote lock and erase" it'll ask you to activate a "Device Administrator" which basically just allows you to perform the remote wipe :) Chilling_Silence (9)
