| 1373503 | 2014-04-26 21:27:00 | My Acer All in one looks like it is heading to computer heaven ! As it has failed (3 times) to finish a check disk and occasionally has just shut down out of the blue. No blue screens lately though. Anyway... I am looking for a backup program to install on an external HDD and am wondering if someone might suggest one that would suit my needs. |

If you wanted to back up /image the whole HDD, a free one is Backupper (www.backup-utility.com). Keep in mind if the HDD is failing with bad sectors imaging doesn't always complete. looking for a backup program to install on an external HDD What exactly do you mean by that ? While its not impossible, you cant install the OS Esp windows on an external HDD ( not easily anyway - unless its designed for it) You can back up data, but not programs, they need to be re-installed on another computer. |
