1357859	2013-10-25 00:24:00	A friend of mine has a domain "A" (hosted by Openhost) and wants to replace it with another domain "B". Website "B" is also going to be hosted by Openhost and the web pages at domain "A" will be removed and the hosting discontinued (although ownership of the domain will continue). I know that it's possible to redirect so that when visitors enter (or click a link on another webpage to) "www.a.co.nz", they get automatically redirected to "www.b.co.nz". I assume the following: 1. Web address "A" does not need to have a current hosted presence on the web 2. Web address "A" needs to be registered/live/owned/linked to the owner of web address "B" 3. The redirect instruction is placed in some field on the Control Panel of web address "B" Can someone please confirm (or dispel) my assumptions? What is the redirect instruction called? A "Domain Alias"? Or do I have to fiddle with DNS settings (yuk)? The desired result is that a visitor ends up at "www.b.co.nz" if they try to go to "www.a.co.nz"...	johcar (6283)

If you can't be bothered playing with it, ask the domain co to do it for you......:-) FAQ Please log in to the control panel: http://www.mycp.co.nz Click on the "My Account" Tab. Click on the "Subscription" Icon here. Click on "Buy another hosting plan", which will open our store in a new window. From here, please choose the fourth option, "Use one of my domains" and select your domain from the drop down box. Hit "Order selected domains" on the next page. This will bring our Plans page and from here you should be able to choose the URL redirection plan. You will need to hit "Buy Now" here to choose this plan. Please enter the web address where you want to redirect here. BTW, it's actually free, even though you "buy". Webdrive redirects work differently to Openhosts....	pctek (84)
