| 1356112 | 2013-10-15 21:52:00 | ... In my case Samsung New Zealand has to be mentioned: As per one of my recent threads (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) I bought a new phone and the Home button didn't work from the start. After about 2 months I finally found my old phone stuck behind a cushion on my g/f's couch. So I put my new SIM into the old phone, which meant I could now send my new phone away, under warranty, without losing mobile contact with the outside world who knew me only via mobile. Very importink. A phone call to Samsung had them send me a pre-paid NZ Couriers bag; clear instructions on how to send, and after being asked they advised just a few (3 or so) days in their hands before return. Lo and behold... within about one week the problem was resolved... from the first phone call, to the sending of the item, to the phone back in my sticky hands. Not bad! GJ Samsung and in particular the helpful Helpdesk operators who actually help. |

| 1356114 | 2013-10-15 23:17:00 | That should be the standard I expect from companies :) I got a Dell Ultrasharp screen and they sent me a replacement within 1 or 2 days of the phonecall, I swapped the broken one into that box and replaced the courier sticker with the one provided and the courier guy picked up the next day. Something similar with IBM Thinkpad before they were taken by Lenovo haven't had the need to use Lenovo. Thinkpad replaced everything even a CD-ROM with a bit of fabric sticking out of the door which made it no pop out when ejected. But yeah even $$ Nikons you have to drive it to the shop you bought from or courier to Auckland Service Centre at your own expense. |

Last Thursday evening, we renewed our passports online - they turned up via courier at home on Tuesday morning (luckily SWMBO was home to sign for them). So, processed on Friday, dispatched from Wellington on Friday/Monday, arrive in Auckland on Tuesday. Not too bad for "standard service"!! And from a government department!! |
