| 290573 | 2004-11-11 06:15:00 | Have networked 2 W98 PC's to a 2k PC, set up users on 2k with passwords and all accessible OK but want better password security. The first time you connect to a folder on the 2K it asks for the password. If you leave the tick on 'remember this password in my password list' with future boots you can hit enter on the W98 logon screen without a password and still connect to the 2k machine. Realise if untick 'remember password etc' you need to enter password each time to connect but I want to protect against users leaving it ticked so they have to log on correctly each time. Not a domain - just a simple peer to peer. Any help appreciated Cheers Greg |

| 290574 | 2004-11-11 06:38:00 | Not sure about this, but you may be able to remove this option with the Win98 policy editor. Be careful with this, as it is possible to lock yourself out of your computer with this tool. Bletch |
