290308 2004-11-10 23:39:00 Have you tried it yet? I guess we'll all have to change eventually if we want to stay with AVG wooda2 (4837)
290309 2004-11-11 00:15:00 I had trouble with Emails bouncing - would like to hear others comments.

290311 2004-11-11 01:24:00 I wonder why they gave us that big update for AVG 6 if a couple of days later they are making the AVG 7 available.

Will sit on this, like I'm doing with the final Firefox 1.0 and XP2. Bit like an ostrich with my head in the sand at the moment, hoping it will all go away.

Think I'll give my computer a reformat for Xmas this year.

Is IBM an ostrich? they still WILL NOT ALLOW SP2 INSTALL in any IBM internal desktop . There are still too many unresolved issues .

Let the must have boys sort all the issues, wait for the first batch of bug fixes, see how every one else gets along .

Then have an easy upgrade experience . Ostrich nah, intelligent move?

290313 2004-11-11 04:22:00 Installed Free AVG 7 this afternoon, several more options and a slightly more complex set up if you don't want it to scan or download updates on a daily basis. Works well with Mozilla e Mail.
I only use IE for MS updates because I have too and never use Outlook so can't say how it works with them.
Take Care

290314 2004-11-11 04:36:00 Works ok.
Even better, the e-mail scanner now works with Foxmail 5.0, whereas version 6 and earlier didnt.

290315 2004-11-11 04:40:00 so its worth the download/should i bother? Prescott (11)
290316 2004-11-11 07:38:00 I don't know about the full 7 release, but I have been using the beta for a while and find it much better than 6. Having said that, particular attention needs to be paid to the email configuration - if you get the config wrong, your email won't work.
