290184 2004-11-10 11:51:00 I am trying to write an excel macro such that when the number in a cell range is <4 the cell fill colour is green, when the value is between 4 and 7 the cell fill colour is orange and when the value is between 7 and 10 the cell fill colour is red. Any help with this?

Thanks

290185 2004-11-10 13:52:00 You don't need a macro to do this. Use conditional formating. It allows you to add up to 3 parameters and format the cell based on those. Very powerful tool. Find it under Format/Conditiona Formating. Select the cells you wish to affect first then use this menu. Big John (551)
