290384 2004-11-11 03:45:00 It looks to be quite a nice unit. The price makes it very nice. Of course it's more expensive for someone who wants Windows. :D

I seriously considered one, but the lack of a PC Card slot was a problem for me.

290389 2004-11-11 06:55:00 the battery life would be a plus, its quite attractive (if your into that sort of thing), its quiet, you get a decent warrantee but its probably not even equivalent to a p3 500 in terms of grunt. Sort of make second hand look attractive. the highlander (245)

File that for a rainy day.

See if winston can enlighten as to weather this makes the whole contract voidable.

Could be useful if you get into a dispute with your Employer.

290392 2004-11-11 07:40:00 I was in appliance retail for 12 long years. The up-coming promotions were kept under wraps till the day of release. They had to be, otherwise competing retailers could go out and better your offer at the same time if not immediately prior to release.

You can always make an on the spot decision to promote a product at a special price, and also withdraw a planned promotion if you haven't advertised the fact that you are to run it.

AFAIK there is no 'law' that says you have to tell all and sundry what specials are coming up. That's just silly.

:D
