2004-11-12 21:29:00 | I would like to see about getting movies off the internet. Is it practical on dial-up? How big are they on average, like gigabytes? Does anybody do this? I have seen a few sites like ultimatedownloads and moviedownloader but never joined up. Are these freeware sites full of additional stuff like spyware and stuff? Just curious, seems like a great idea to me but maybe only practical on broadband. (I'm talking legal downloads.) Be interested to hear of ppl's experience. :D

2004-11-12 22:02:00 | aye... am i missing something here? Aren't downloading movies illegal? or is it some sort of pay site? If so (or even if not) i recommend checking this site out: http://www.movieshack.co.nz/ You pay a set amount per month, and you can hire as many dvds as you want/need, just send them back when you're finished with them

2004-11-12 22:29:00 | you will find a lot of <mmmmm...illegal> movies are around 700meg in size unless its a 2 cd rip with would be 1400meg total. it used to take me around 3 days to download. a lot of the time you simply leave the pc on overnight. one annoying thing tho is most leaked movies are not the finall ver. there are often a preveiw ver which differ from the one shown at the movies.

Downloading copyrighted movies that forbid just that are illegal but downloading movies that are free for release are not. They are allowed to be downloaded by anyone. It is a shame to see so many people tarred with one brush just because they say they want to download something and then many assume they are doing something illegal. |

2004-11-12 23:51:00 | There are plenty of sites for legit downloads of movies. Try putting "download movies" (without quotes) into google. | mark c (247) | |
