291056 2004-11-12 20:18:00 I'm running a ECS laptop with SuSE 9.1 personal on it. Now i wish to install dreamweaver, and possably later Photoshop, allthough the GIMP does do everything i actually need in a Graphic Image Manipulation Program. I tried installing Dreamweaver using WINE, but i got an error that came down to meaning.."Please install windows." I don't want to install windows, i dont like windows! Does anyone have any hints on how i might get passed this rather fatal looking hurdle?

Perhaps some good Linux based webdesign software is the answer?

Any ideas?

291061 2004-11-13 06:17:00 It would be nice if Adobe would port to Linux (apart from reader 5 there's nothing), it ain't going to happen in the forseeable future though.

The alternatives are getting better though which will be to Adobe's detriment in the long run.

PS. Chill, wondered why the processing had gone all to hell lately, now we know who to aim the barbs at, ta! ;)

291062 2004-11-13 06:45:00 Actually, of late Adobe have shown some interest in the Linux community - Things will be changing shortly ;-) Chilling_Silence (9)
291063 2004-11-13 07:38:00 Not so, as from a recent interview with Adobe's Linux team leader, when asked why they were hiring Linux developers, it was purely to bring Reader 6 to Linux. She was emphatice, they have no plans to bring any other Adobe software to Linux, does she protest too much?
