| 290979 | 2004-11-12 09:10:00 | Has anyone installed Quintessential Player off the PCWorld CD yet? Tried it here on XP + SP2, and it doesn't work at all well. It loads, (slowly), but when the mouse is passed over it, the cursor turns to an hourglass, and that is all that happens. The computer is basically locked up, and I can't do anything. Eventually, after agressively selecting Ctrl- Alt-Delete a few times (because nothing happens). I am able to close Quintessential. I wonder what it is doing? I don't even have Real Player installed, to confuse it. Thanks for any help. |

| 290983 | 2004-11-14 10:00:00 | Hey I'm using Quinessential Player for my mp3's and I find it loads considerably faster and is much smaller than musicmatch. Im using XP with SP2 and I have absolutely no problems with it |

Rebooted the computer, made sure Zone Alarm wasn't running, even connected to the internet in case it wanted to get something, but it just sits there, looking dumb, stopping anything else from working, until I get rid of it with Ctrl-Alt-Delete. You can't win them all, I guess. Maybe I have turned off too many Services? |
