| 290678 | 2004-11-11 16:16:00 | For some reason or other my task bar has doubled in width. I can't find how to reduce it. If I unclick quick launch it returns to normal. But I want quick launch. What have I done this time???? Win XP home. Jack |

It is a little bit fiddly so you might have to try several times. Lock the taskbar after that to prevent it happening again. sam m |

| 290682 | 2004-11-11 17:05:00 | Thanks, that fixed it. But it was strange. Next to the start button I had an up and a down arrow. By clicking on them I could show the open apps above or below the normal icons (IE ane OE). I fixed it by dragging the open apps to the right. They passed over ihe icons into their normal position and the task bar returned to normal. Very strange. Thanks again. Jack |
