How do i get rid of the urls that stay underneath the address bar? I want to get rid of my online banking one which i use on a semi-public computer.

290693 2004-11-11 09:47:00 hey there, welcome to pressf1:)
go to tools/internet options/ and click delete cookies and you might also want to clear the history.
may i suggest mozilla firefox, its way better imo, because of the tabed browsing, but its up to you :D

290694 2004-11-11 10:24:00 That doesn't appear to have worked. I do use firefox at home but this is on the computer at the boarding hostel. Thanks anyway jamezy (6395)
290695 2004-11-11 12:23:00 I can fix that. Go into Internet Options (as above), click on the security tab then on the 'AutoComplete' button. Uncheck all of the boxes, and viola your visited URLs don't appear anymore. I suspect that the 'autocomplete' button could be hidden somewhere else on a different version of Internet Explorer - I'm using 6.

Hope this gets to you before it's too late :)
