| 290977 | 2004-11-12 20:25:00 | It shouldnt take that much force to put the IDE cable into the mobo. Just as long as its the right way round. Just push the cable in until it goes no further. Maybe the IDE cable is faulty?? Have u got another IDE cable u could try? And is the cd in BIOS set to AUTO?? |

| 290978 | 2004-11-12 22:46:00 | After extensive testing and swapping of cables, it finally decided to work. Turns out the cable may not have been seated properly in the motherboard, (I couldn't get it in any further) and maybe another IDE cable helped somehow by straightening pins or something? I dunno. Anyway, it now sees the CD-ROM drive. Thanks for all the help! | Wilky (776) | ||
