2004-11-14 05:36:00 Ok this is my situation, My pc is my room. hub and modem is about 15ms away, so i have a long cable. now i want to network my ps2. but i don't have another long cable. Can i stick 2 network cards in my pc, one card to the hub and one card to the ps2? will it work? Rpg_pro (5689)

2004-11-14 06:01:00 If you have a hub then you simply need another cable as the previous post says. How many ports are there on the hub? Big John (551)
2004-11-14 06:05:00 Ethernet actually only uses 4 of the 8 wires in the cable. You could put 2 plugs on each end of the cable, so u can run your PS2 and your PC on the same cable.

2004-11-14 06:05:00 Yes, you can - But only WinXP makes "bridging" network cards easy.

Yes though - It is possible, and not hard to do. The cheap $12 ones from DSE work well!

2004-11-14 06:13:00 No, you can run 100MBit down 4 wires. I bought a cable wired exactly like it the other day. 4 wires, 100MBit/s.
