291323 2004-11-13 18:01:00 Hi Thomas

You need to make sure you have the SMTP connection settings correct in OE for your ISP. If you go to your ISP website, the settings for the SMTP server should be listed. Check it against what you have currently.

291324 2004-11-13 18:33:00 you have an incomplete setting there...........the 'host smtp cannot be found' no wonder ...........if for example you are with xtra the smtp setting is: smtp.xtra.co.nz ..............NOT just SMTP.........goto outlook express/tools/accounts/mail/properties and change it there drcspy (146)
291325 2004-11-13 18:45:00 Thanks Jen,that did the trick. Thomas (1820)
291326 2004-11-13 18:48:00 Try going Tools --> Accounts and remove that account entirely.

It'll leave your emails but just delete your pop/smtp settings.

Re-Add the account and pray it works.

Either that, or head on over to mozilla.org/thunderbird (www.mozilla.org) and save your inbox from torture at the same time as solving all your Outlook Express issues! ;-)

Welcome..... To the Dark side..... ]:)

291327 2004-11-13 18:52:00 Ha!

Funny - it took just under 5 mins to get my ass around to writing that after going through all my other tabs ;-)

Good to hear you've got it sorted at least....
