| 292506 | 2004-11-15 17:49:00 | At work I have several word documents that I use often daily for recording different tasks I have done or I am about to do. At the moment I manually type in the date and time each day. Is there a way that I can set it so that when I open a document and start typing then the date will insert automatically just above that days entry. thanks sam m |

| 292507 | 2004-11-15 18:07:00 | sam m I don't have Word 2003, but assume it can't be too different from Office 2000. Why don't you record a macro to include Insert, Date and Time, choose the format you want and tick the Update Automatically box? Oxie (Lyn) |

| 292508 | 2004-11-15 18:44:00 | You need to revise the template that normally opens your documents: Templates and add-ins can be loaded either for the current session only or whenever you start Word. On the Tools menu, click Templates and Add-Ins. Under Global templates and add-ins, select the check box next to the template or add-in you want to load. If the template or add-in you want does not appear in the box, click Add, switch to the folder that contains the template or add-in you want, click it, and then click OK. Note If you want the template or add-in to be available whenever you start Word, save it in the startup folder. By default, the startup folder is Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\Startup. Once you've opened it, Insert/Date, and save. |
