| 292270 | 2004-11-15 04:17:00 | I am running WinXP Home with SP2. I am trying to set the default internet browser to Firefox, and make it only apply to my user account. Other users of this PC are avid IE fans. Reading the Help file in the Set Program Access and Defaults section, it says that it is not possible to set different things for different users. I'm wondering however, is there a work-around for this, so I can keep all other users' settings the same, and change it so that my "default" internet browser is Firefox? |

| 292271 | 2004-11-15 04:26:00 | You would be able to use firefox as the default browser, BUT as stated in a few posts in this forum, links you click on MAY NOT or WONT open, if firefox, or another browser is the default. | Spacemannz (808) | ||
| 292272 | 2004-11-15 08:01:00 | As far as I know, if Firefox is set as "default" in the Set Program Access an Defaults panel, it will cause any link you click on to open in that set browser (from my experience only.) I'm wondering if it's possible for me to set it so it does that for me, but not anyone else?? |
