291730 2004-11-14 08:06:00 I receive email with attachments and pics fine, however when I try to send these out again my reciepents recieve the text with no pic..only a big empty box with a red cross in one corner.Any clues on what this is and how to fix it? -- A few weeks back I had a box appear on my PC that said "warning frequency out of range"....it has disappeared never to be seen again...any clues? 291731 2004-11-14 08:27:00 evening, and welcome to pressf1 :)
im not too sure about the email thing, but that frequency box _maybe_ some sort of spyware, i suggest downloading spybot s&d from here (www.safer-networking.org/) and adaware from here (http:) run these two programmes and this should get rid of spyware

291732 2004-11-14 08:37:00 Hi Winnie, Welcome to PressF1.

Sometimes when you forward emails with attachments, the attachments don't actually included with the forwarded email. For some reason, they sometimes delete themselves in the new message.

Your best bet will be to download the images to your PC, then re-attach them.

Good luck

291733 2004-11-14 23:17:00 Hi and thanks for the warm welcome. I have spybot and Adaware so there is not a problem there. I also had trouble uploading a pic on to a site...it came out with the top visable but the middle and the bottom was just yellow. My friends say the same thing happens....they get about an inch worth and then the rest is blank. Back to the drawing board huh LOL! Winnie (6405)
291734 2004-11-14 23:58:00 Frequency out of Range sounds like your monitor's builtin warning, maybe the refresh rate gets too high or too low for your video card to handle.

What's your computer specs by the way?

The uploading of the graphics, is possibly due to your internet connection and how reliable it is. It seems it's not that reliable and can also be the result of your emails not having the pictures being sent through due to corruption.

Cheers,

291735 2004-11-15 02:53:00 Thanks Kame...that sounds like a resonable explaination and seems to fit the problem. I'm using windows 98. I'm hooking on to Jet Stream in 3 weeks ... maybe that will help. Thanks for your reply...much appreciated:) Winnie (6405)
291736 2004-12-08 07:01:00 Just thought I'd add here, that the problem was my firewall settings. I had the sercuity levels way too high. Now I can send and they recieve with no problems at all.
Cheers
