292558 2004-11-15 20:48:00 I’d be grateful for any input to solving my problem making Internet sharing over a wireless network operate.
I have a desktop computer with a PCI ADSL card networked with my notebook via a 54G wireless connection. Both machines run Win XP.
The network part has worked faultlessly until I tried to get Internet sharing working.
I used the instructions provided for both host and client computers on the Microsoft website and this did not work.
The notebook still wants to connect to the internet via the on-board modem. Further, the network no longer works; with error a message telling me the drives/folder/files are not accessible, as I may not have permission to use this network resource.
What has likely changed with my settings? Where should I start to look to hunt down the problems? I thought XP was supposed to make this kind of thing easy.
Thanks in advance for any help.

292563 2004-11-16 18:40:00 Thanks for that.
I'll have to figure out how to get the wireless network communicating before I can try it though..
