| 293465 | 2004-11-18 06:08:00 | How Do I update my BIOS when I brought My PC from The PC Company and all the Info I read tells me to go to the place I brought My PC from's web site (which no longer exsist's) and download the lastest driver. I have recently downloaded SiSoft's Sandra, will this help? | Chicolio (6413) | ||

There is a possibility that the PC Co had custom boards made that may not exactly fit the retail versions (not uncommon with brand name PC's) and then you could have a problem. Remember that there is a significant and real chance of destroying the motherboard if a BIOS update goes wrong (and it happens too often), so do not update the BIOS unless you are trying to fix a known issue for which there is an update published. Its not considered a "recreational activity" |

The only reason I asked was 'cause I ran the 'Performance test' in SiSoft and It recomended doing it. But I don't have any real problems at the mo' so Who cares right. | Chicolio (6413) | ||
