2004-11-17 23:47:00 | Hi, I've noticed my comp is sluggish in the starting stakes. have scanned for spyware virues etc. I remember reading about a programme that optimises the start process. can someone refresh my memory please? Cheers

Bootvis was discontinued by MS after 50 bilion people reported it made comps boot faster,MS claim that it just monitred what resources were being used on boot so programmers could make better .....uh....programs I disagree with them,On the comps i ran it on it certainly seemed to modify the boot sequence, and display the desktop earlier while continuing to load background apps. but then,.......i also bought a magnetic belt...... |

2004-11-18 07:08:00 | I've run bootvis on my system and it sped up the startup a little, what I noticed mostly is that it resulted in the system tray apps all appearing almost instantly all at once...... | drcspy (146) | |
2004-11-18 07:45:00 | mine does that too now i've optimised again, all at around a pathetic 74 secs!! | Trev O (452) | |
2004-11-18 16:34:00 | hmmmmmmmm...........thought mine was slowish at around 45-50 secs....not too worried anyway the thing hardly ever gets completely shut down..... | drcspy (146) | |
2004-11-18 18:18:00 | Ahhh, I can only dream of 50 secs! It used to be 28 secs, but now I have teatimer, AVG7, ZA5.5, Wallpaper Changer and Sp2. So I guess it's a sacrifice to at least feel safer.
