| 293324 | 2004-11-17 20:56:00 | Morning people I've got an old dungar dot matrix LX-850 here that's been used previously on the serial port but I want to use the parallel port, on win98. Does anyone have a manual for this kicking around? I've searched the net but nothing found. I really of course just want the dip swtich settings (doesn't that bring back memories?) so I can change the port type used. Thanx for any help. |

| 293326 | 2004-11-18 01:53:00 | How many dip switches are there? If I recall correctly, about 16? 8 of each? First 8 switches control printer settings, font, characters. The second 8 switches control interface, baud rate, etc. Switch 3 and 4 on the second set should be both off for parallel and so should 5 and 6 for max baud rate, but I'm just going by memory and can't even remember if this is the right printer I'm talking about as I've had so many dot matrix printers and a few had dip switch settings. I might have that manual sitting in storage with the remains of other computer gear, I know that printer will be stored somewhere in storage. Kame |

| 293327 | 2004-11-18 01:57:00 | That seems familiar ... because it's a parallel with serial option (at extra cost) the righthand DIP switches should all be off. Otherwise there are only 65536 combinations to work through. :D |
