| 293307 | 2004-11-17 16:23:00 | It is taking far too long for me to load a web page or to collect e-mail. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just my ISP? Dial up is normal and I connect to the server and then I sit here for up to a minute while e-mail is "authorised". Then each letter arrives very slowly. Ditto with the web. This morning at 4-30 am it took almost 5 minutes to collect 2 e-mails. Then about another 5 mins. to load my home page. I am with QUIK. They tell me there is nothing wrong at their end. BUT they would say that, wouldn't they? I am useing Win xp with SP 2. And IE6 and OE. I was useing Firefox 1, but when things started slowing down I fully removed it as part of my troubleshooting. Everything is set up and re-setup properly. I have a four week old Dynalink xternal modem connected at 49.8 Kbs. Jack |

| 293309 | 2004-11-17 17:04:00 | Yes comp is very,very thoroughly checked with adaware, spybot, NAV. and Registry Mechanic. At the moment when I click on "Send & Receive" there is a 45 second wait while it connects. Jack |
