| 293255 | 2004-11-17 08:12:00 | Plain old F5 does a normal refresh. If you really want to do a full refresh, use Ctrl+F5 - it avoids any cache on your computer and grabs a fresh copy of images and the like. |

| 293256 | 2004-11-17 08:13:00 | The theory is that f5 refrehses the page but will still display only what the ISP have stored in their cache,while ctrl + f5 will send the request as far back as the server the page is hosted on and garentee you are viewing the most current version. | Desperado (6407) | ||
| 293257 | 2004-11-17 08:14:00 | hmm....maybe its only the local cache then,i'll have to look into that... | Desperado (6407) | ||
| 293258 | 2004-11-17 08:23:00 | I'm not sure either, really. I was just assuming that Ctrl+F5 will tell your browser to avoid the local cache, but if it's cached further out than that it'd still receive a cached version. That was on the presumption that both F5 and Ctrl+F5 send out a normal request, but plain old F5 sees the images cached locally and loads them, so in effect only the text is changing. |
