2004-11-17 07:04:00 | You have to register what with xChat? Gaim is another client, albeit not so great at IRC. IRSSI, as well as BitchX, and kvirc (or ksirc). Im going to be hosting an IRC server shortly. It'll be hosted from my room, on my own hardware, setup/configured by me, with the code optimised by my server, for my server.... ;-) I guess what Im trying to say is I trust it (And the ssl encryption that comes with it). Im told that there's precious few clients that actually support client <-> server SSL encryption though? Can somebody elaborate? Hope to switch hardware from my old server to my newer one with the latest gcc, glibc, as well as a few nice CFLAGS that will: Optimise code speed Decrease size Minimize RAM usage Prevent some buffer overflow issues ;-) I had a browse around the IRC - Seemed nice and fast. Hosted on IIS5.0?!

I made the thing to benefit PF1 users, and for a bit of fun and experience - I have never set up an IRC server before. And who are you really?? Are you a banned user returned? Because you seem to know an awful lot about the forum for somebody who registered a few days ago... |

2004-11-17 07:39:00 | Mirc 6.16 supports ssl encryption. BUT you have to go here to install the file needed for SSL. www.shininglightpro.com

2004-11-17 10:59:00 | True enough... It's just that not many tend to do that here. Or at least not read without registering. Meh, doesn't bother me. Might want to lurk some more though, so you get a mildly correct opinion of me. You have after all attacked me twice now on grounds that were incorrect/mistaken. Perhaps you have taken a disliking to me in your lurking. Cheers George

2004-11-17 19:33:00 | Ninja - I don't know what your problem is but one more post like this attacking George and I'll ban you. This is precisely the kind of stupid, arrogant nasty behaviour which has caused so many problems, is totally unwarranted and will not be tolreated. George is doing nothing different to other F1ers who have set up third party servuces for other F1ers to use. Funnily enough, you haven't attacked them. | Biggles (121) | |
