How else would you get to watch them? E.g. I can't be stuffed waiting till 2005 to see season 8 of Stargate or Season 3 & 4 of Alias so I'll download em. Then when they finally get aired on Television, I consider that royalties paid. |

Is that a lot of powerful marketers are behind the intulectual property in the audio visual media. ~Patenting software is like patenting the text of a book. Neither is necessary to protect Intellectual Property~ (Unknown) ~ Like music, progress in software is dependent on the ideas that have gone before. The creative and innovative part is not the ideas themselves, necessarily, but the particular combinations that make up the whole. Patent the component ideas, and no one can write anything new.~ (Richard Stallman) Downloading to view is one, downloading to onsell is another. if the goods are also given buy the uploader there is little at issue. The American Dinosaur Corporates are way behind the Consumers needs with their supply metheods, when they catch up the problem will go away. Their problem is they dont want to change because they may loose some controll. American corporations have always been controll freaks, still they think they can bully the world into accepting their dinosaur metheods and inflaated margins. Think again! Corporate America. D. |
