I typed M16A2 image, into Google to get it, maybe it was the word image that made the difference?

Cheers.

293474 2004-11-18 06:27:00 Sorry, I missed the bayonet bit, that pic has no bayonet. exLL (515)
293475 2004-11-18 06:34:00 The fourth gun is the one he is asking about, but doesn't have the bayonet he mentioned.

A google image search for M16A2 brings up 2330 images

A google image search for M16A2 bayonet brings up 5...none of which appear relivent.

Based on those results and my complete lack of knowledge of guns and an unwavering self-belief.....I would say that gun has no bayonet attachment.

Just a guess though....

The beauty of living in a country that has never seen real civil unrest in over 130 years.

Wher the majority of the population have never heard automatic gunfire in earnest, and rearley is the result of violent death seen.

And a stupid pack of clowns less than 15% of the population stand up and tell select commities that if they dont have controol of the beaches they will start a civil war, what is wrong with these/those people?

293479 2004-11-19 00:13:00 Americans try to avoid close combat, they like to fight at a distance so I didn't think A2 model would have bayonnet. They had it on A1 model which they used in Vietnam. JimboJones (1680)

ALL millitary long and medium barrell weapons take some kind of bayonnett, even the short Izui squirt, and the supertech, light, and pulse weapons under development.

The Infantryman with a: pointy, sharp, cutty thing, will be here almost for etrnity.

It's one of the last resorts when things get "up close and personall". That's what, that means.
