293395 2004-11-18 04:09:00 Hi rdee

Does your antivirus software scan your outgoing and incoming emails? This may be behind your problem. What AV do you use?

There is also a good Microsoft Knowledge Base Article on troubeshooting this error: How to troubleshoot error messages that you receive when try to send and receive e-mail in Outlook and in Outlook Express (support.microsoft.com)

Have a look at that, and lets us know how you get on.

293396 2004-11-18 06:08:00 You can not have Norton Aintivirus scanning your mail together with Zone Alarm.
AVG is Ok, no problems.

293397 2004-11-18 20:26:00 Thankyou all again.I do have NAV & Zonealarm.I have stopped NAV scanning incoming mail as xtra does that-but scanning outgoing.I got two e-mails very quickly a short while ago.I will keep an eye on it & in the meantime go thru all the info you recommended.Thankyou rdee rdee (1809)
