294003 2004-11-19 14:06:00 Heya.

I just upgraded my comp. Well had another one in the house so yea moved my drive to that.

Previously had amd xp 2600, 512ram, g4 ti4200

Got a 60 gig drive running xp pro.

Anyway move it to the new computer P4 3.2gig, 2 gig ram, Ati radeon 9600, had to reinstall windows :/ couldn't handle the new hardware.

Anyhow I reloaded codecs and stuff but now when I try playing some .wmv files they come out pixelated :/ Likeee Rainbow light colours. Any idea on how to get around this :/

294004 2004-11-19 20:18:00 As you have found you can't just remove a hard drive from one computer and bung it in another and expect it to work, especially on one that has totally different specs . You might get away with it if most of the hardware is the same but I would be surprised .

If you haven't removed all the drivers for the old video card then it would pay to do so then reinstall the drivers for your current card .

If it were me I would be doing a reformat and reinstall of Windows and the drivers for the new computer .
