| 293612 | 2004-11-18 19:15:00 | Hi Jonzsie, Does your friend have call waiting/call minder or similar services? Those services sometimes cause the PC to disconnect, as it tries to put through the call to the phone line. |

| 293615 | 2004-11-18 20:33:00 | Go to Control Panel > Modems double click, > Dialing Properties > put a tick in the box that says "This location has call wainting" and put *52 in the drop down box. Alternatively you can enter *52 XXXX XXXX before the number dialed to connect to your ISP (XXXX XXXXX being that number). That will diable call waiting while your using the internet. Murray P |

| 293618 | 2004-11-19 19:42:00 | We have two phone lines, one of the computer and one for the home business, we noticed that when the home business phone rang the computer would disconnect. The nice Telecom man came and looked at the lines and found a mouse had nibbled through the casing of both lines at the same place, fixed that up and no more problems!!! | Heather J (815) | ||
| 293619 | 2004-11-19 20:04:00 | That is correct if they are with Telecom. Telstra is a bit different. Telstra you have to dial #43# to disable call waiting. Call waiting will be disabled until you reactivate it by dialing *43#. |
