Looked on the server, my thoughts: - I see IP addresses are visible, this may be a security risk - All the op-ing commands etc I know had no effect (good) - I was unable to restart IRC (good) - When making my own thread I was ChanOp but not of course ServerOp. Being ChanOp did not give me any dangerous powers over the server, just control over my channel. Overall, looks fine. Is it encrypted out of curiosity? George |

| 293814 | 2004-11-19 19:56:00 | Ive specifically left the IP's there. I did have the whole lot spoofed but figured the anonimity would get abused. Im still having problems with the bots, they're not playing nice... Bloody conf files are massive!!! I would love to see you restart IRC..... ;-) You're meant to be Op of the channel you start, pointless if you're not :p People arent forced to join that channel and be restricted underneath the Ops. I know ive compiled it with encryption, havent bothered installing a packet logger yet to check that SSL is active. I think its lying to me and just not using SSL.... Its there but not used.... So it could be a long day today :p |
