| 294349 | 2004-11-20 21:35:00 | Hi there, I'm thinking of buying a phone off trademe because my current phone is being intermittently broken, the mic is broken, or a wire is loose I dunno... It all happened after I crashed off a motorbike and it scraped on the road along with my bare leg.. Anyway, how would I go about getting the phone that if/when i get it, to have my previous number. Note: the phone will be disconnected (the one im getting). Both phones are telecom. How much does it cost? I heard rumours of about 10 bucks or so Cheers MrBeef |

They don't mention transferring the number between phones purchased elsewhere. Can I keep my original number and phone? (www.telecom.co.nz). I would phone telecom and confirm this first. |

Telecom don't charge for a ESN change, just give them your Ph number, the ESN of the current phone and the ESN of the new phone and it will get flicked over after of course verifying that you are the account holder, this involves giving your date of birth, bank account number and the name of your pet goat etc. |
