294103 2004-11-21 07:14:00 I see that there is a Firefox extension

Adblock 0.5.2.039 by "The Adblock Crew". It says that the number of downloads = 0. It was last updated September 11 2004.

Would it be safe to download that please, do you think ? Why has no-one downloaded it yet ? Is the date of Sept 11 significant or just a co-incidence ?

I note that other extensions on the same page also have number of downloads = 0.

294104 2004-11-21 07:33:00 On my computer i have SpyBot set to silently block double click and this slows some sites loading . Have a look and see if this is the problem.??

294105 2004-11-22 07:24:00 I have'nt yet worked out how to set Spybot to do this. Must work on it.
Have tried advanced mode.

In the meantime I have downloaded the Adblock extension to Firefox, after all, and that is working (so far !).

294106 2004-11-22 07:45:00 In spybot/Advanced mode. click immunize then at the bottom of this screen tick the box that say's "enable permanant blocking of bad addresses in IE"
Below this is a drop down menu one of which is "block all bad pages silently"
Then if it blocks something like doubleclick it does it without letting you know.

294107 2004-11-22 07:53:00 Hi Johnboy
Had a look, thanks - it was already ticked though.

Anyway it seems that Firefox okay with the Adblocker extension now being used.
cheers
Misty :)
