2004-11-20 20:21:00 | Hotmail with OutLook Express no long free ???? I was trying to set up hotmail with Outlook Express and I got an error message need to go to upgrade.msn.com to upgrade. I go there and there is no freebies. It says pay $19.95. Isn?t it free anymore.

2004-11-20 20:37:00 | Same here. Had only found out about using hotmail through Outlook Express the other day, found a site showing you how to do it, and the next day it all turns to dust. This site has some good tips here (email.about.com) Was given a Gmail invite, but read up lots of stuff on its safety and changed my mind about using it. Will stick to hotmail.

2004-11-20 20:42:00 | Hotmail gives this explanation for why you are no longer able to access your free Hotmail account with OE. Viewing e-mail in Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express To protect our users from the increasing amount of unsolicited junk e-mail or spam sent from MSN Hotmail accounts through Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express, we have reluctantly had to restrict the new use of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express to subscribers. * If you purchase a subscription service, you get access to your account from Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express, along with many other added features. I guess they want people to use the commercial MSN Hotmail Plus account.

2004-11-20 20:46:00 | Apparently existing Hotmail users are able to continue to use OE to access their emails. I can still access my Hotmail account via. Outlook Express. | somebody (208) | |
2004-11-20 20:47:00 | Gmail apparently does not intend to ever charge for POP3 access. I set it up the other day, and it's great. However, if you are super-concerned about privacy, then don't use Gmail for your very personal or commercially sensitive emails. For everything else, don't worry about the Googlebots scanning your emails.

2004-11-20 20:53:00 | I only use hotmail as an alternative email address in order to protect my own email address, plus MailWasher which is really handy . Guess nothing is really free now adays . Its the same with RSS feeds, they're now talking about putting ads on it . You can't win .
